Privacy
Free Room is built to be anonymous by default. No profiles. No follower counts. Minimal collection.
What we collect
- Messages you choose to submit via the “Drop a note” form.
- Basic technical logs that most websites collect (e.g., request timing, error codes) through our hosting provider.
We do not ask for your real name, email, phone number, or account sign-in in Stage-1.
What we don’t collect
- No user accounts (Stage-1)
- No profile pages
- No follower graphs
- No “identity verification”
If this changes later (e.g., optional accounts), this page will be updated clearly.
Cookies & local storage
Free Room may store a small amount of information in your browser (local storage) to keep the experience smooth, like remembering “Quiet Mode” and a random anonymous nickname. This stays on your device unless you clear site data.
Form submissions
When you submit a note, it’s sent to our hosting provider’s form system (Netlify Forms) so we can view it. Don’t include personal identifying info. Keep it anonymous.
We may remove content that is clearly abusive, spam, or dangerous. This is peer support — not a crisis service.
Crisis & safety
Free Room is not emergency support. If you’re in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Contact
If you need to report an issue or request removal of a submitted note, add a simple contact method later (email/contact page). For Stage-1, keep it lightweight.
